This documentation is designed to provide information concerning work being done, individual areas of interest and the working environment within the Center of Intelligent Information Retrieval or CIIR group. It will also inform the reader about the hardware and operating systems in use and considerations all members of the group should be aware of when working in a networked environment sharing machine cpu and disk space.

Search all publications
    A tool that allows searching of entire publications database, including those hidden from the public.
Submitting Papers
    Information and a FAQ about our publication submission procedure. Click here to submit your research paper to our database. Have your information and abstract ready.
Lemur
    The Lemur Toolkit is designed to facilitate research in language modeling and information retrieval, where IR is broadly interpreted to include such technologies as ad hoc and distributed retrieval, cross-language IR, summarization, filtering, and classification.
Collections
    A list of collections available online to the CIIR group.
Wiki
    The CIIR wiki.
Machine Name List
    Lists of the machines used by group members, including their physical location, type and "owner".
Lab Disk Use
    The IR Lab has lots of disk space. However the disks are divided into catagories of usage, and individuals should follow the rules of use. Check here for the current disk usage by user and server.
Archiving Files
    For those files that are just too big for a home directory or don't qualify to be group data, how about archiving them to tape!

    Names and location of printers.

    Who are those people in the various CIIR group offices, and what the heck are they working so hard on?!!

Problems?

    Irsystem now uses RT, a remote ticketing system to track problems and requests. See your Lab Manager for your RT password today, so that you can track your tickets.

Project Environment
    A work environment goes along with InQuery. It is not just limited to definitions for compilation of programs, but also includes collection and data directories, project tools and more.
