The University of Massachusetts Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval (CIIR) was the first site in the nation to make all U.S. federal government web sites available and searchable from one location. The CIIR's search engine, InQuery, has been used to search this U.S. federal government information repository since 1996. The CIIR is now focusing on other information retrieval research areas, so we have discontinued the Govbot service.
