Research Faculty

The UMass Amherst Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval (CIIR) is currently accepting applications for a Research Faculty position (Search # R30069).

The CIIR is known as one of the leading research groups in the areas of information retrieval, information access, and text mining (http://ciir.cs.umass.edu). We are seeking research faculty to support our efforts, specifically in the areas of retrieval models, machine learning techniques for IR, Web search, social search, combining IR and database models, natural language processing, and other human language technology for IR.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst Computer Science Department invites applications for Research Faculty (R30069) in the area in information retrieval and search. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related area, and should show evidence of exceptional research promise. These positions are grant-funded; appointments will be contingent upon continued funding.
