FAQs

What happens when I enter my paper?

  • When you enter the information for your paper, it is held temporarily in the database where nobody except Kate can see it. She then accepts the publication, after she edits it as needed, and it is put into the database where only internal users can see it.

Why do I get reminders to update the status of my paper and upload a pdf and how do I stop them?

  • When your publication is first accepted into our database, it is in the status "Submitted", since it is probably submitted to a journal or conference. You will continue to get reminders to change the status until the status of your publicaiton changes AND you use the web interface to allert us of that. Your status update is emailed to Kate so she can update the status. The reminder to upload your pdf is simply so that it is available on our search and to index. Again, the only way to stop this reminder is to upload the pdf using the web interface.
