SIGIR 2008 papers.
Process
The following papers will appear in SIGIR this summer (2008) in
Singapore. Please select one paper to present. You will have 10 (ten!)
minutes for your presentation. You are welcome to read other papers,
but should not assume that anyone has read any paper other then their
own. In particular, no one will have read the paper you're presenting.
Please present (using powerpoint or the like) the main idea of the paper, its contributions, the key
results, and so on. If it relates nicely to something we've already
talked about in the seminar, please mention that, but that's not a key issue.
To snag a paper, put your name before it in the blank parens. Then
also give yourself a slot in the presentation order. When you save
the page, please release the edit lock so that others can get in
quickly. I hope no weird collision errors occur, so check more than
once to ensure your selection survived.
