Welcome!

Who I am
I am a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Currently I am working with the Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval (CIIR). My current research efforts include image processing and applications of statistical methods in computer science.

Research

Current Research:

Past Research:

  • Vision-system based detection and tracking of objects in inner-city traffic scenes with an application to autonomous road vehicles (this work was done at the Institute for Algorithms and Cognitive Systems (IAKS) at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany and at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Data-Processing (IITB) in Karlsruhe, Germany).
  • Robust navigation solutions for aircrafts based on GPS/INS and video data.
  • Statistical meta-search (combination of search engines for improving retrieval effectiveness).
