CIIR receives NSF Digital Government Program grant on “A Language Modeling Approach to Metadata for Cross-Database Linkage and Search” (Bruce Croft, PI). Collaborative project with CMU’s Jamie Callan to develop approaches to providing effective access to distributed, heterogeneous databases. A key focus of the project is developing techniques for federated search of government search engines.
