CIIR Associate Director and CICS Associate Professor Hamed Zamani was selected for an ACM SIGIR Awards Chair position for a three-year term. Zamani and co-chair Mark Sanderson (RMIT; former CIIR Postdoc) are coordinating the awards for SIGIR including paper awards for technical contributions, test-of-time awards, and individual awards for SIGIR members.
