CIIR doctoral students Alireza Salemi and Chris Samarinas were selected to participate in the Grounded Reasoning Cup 2026 to be held at the Data + AI Summit (DAIS 2026) in San Francisco, CA in June 2026. Hosted by Databricks, the Grounded Reasoning Cup is a live competition where teams tackle real-world enterprise challenges using AI agents. The CIIR researchers will be paired with industry sponsor Anthropic which will provide mentorship to the team during the development period of the competition.
