Hamed Zamani, CIIR Associate Director and CICS Associate Professor, received an Amazon Research Award in May 2026 for his proposal, “A Framework for Proactive and Collaborative AI Agents,” submitted to the Fall 2025 competition under the category of AWS Agentic AI research. Prof. Zamani is one of 68 award recipients from 49 universities in 11 countries. The Amazon award provides research funding and access to Amazon public datasets and AWS AI/ML services and tools for the research.
